Analysis of Ballet Work
Abstract
Ballet performance is a diverse phenomenon which unites several important components so ballet art is one of the most compound arts among the others. A great range of components which has to be taken into account by a researcher naturally complicates the analysis of choreographic work. Thus, this paper presents an attempt to summarize the main principles of such analysis and to work out an approximate plan of analyzing a ballet performance on the whole. There is a variety of problem solutions on a case-by-case basis and the aim of this essay is to formulate the key issues which require a response from any researcher setting a similar task. The order for considering the key issues can be random but in any case the analysis of each problem is necessary.
